Soldiers of Fortune – Sleeping Sentinel

Soldiers of Fortune have been a band in the making from as far back as 2004. Originally founded by Marc Moore of Cat Power, Pat Sullivan and Kid Millions of Oneida, and Brad Truax among others, the band took a huge blow with Moore’s tragic van accident. But after enlisting guitarist Mike Bones with contributions from Matt Sweeney of Chavez and Bonnie “Prince” Billy, plus members of Awesome Color and Endless Boogie, the tragedy didn’t result in the end of the band.
So after long delay, Soldiers are set to release their debut, Ball Strenth, from Mexican Summer on 12″ wax and digital too. Check out the psych-jam headbanger “Sleeping Sentinel”:
