Ghostandthesong: “Ou Inme”

Berlin’s Ghostandthesong returns with an unhinged, bass-groove driven track entitled “Ou Inme.” The vocals share their melody with a simple, chiming keyboard have a demure sing song/chanted quality, leaving the histrionics to the synth oscillations that interject themselves beneath the more prominently mix four and six-stringed instruments. The sudden hit of the psych guitar riff [spoiler alert] momentarily solidifies this loosely bound ensemble, before eventually driving the pieces away into their own quiet corners to make room for the gossip of birdsong. The video represents a continuation of a collaborative relationship with film maker Marcus Grysczok’s Hypertrashwonderland. The combination of digital and physical collage serves as a suitable complement for the track, each piece of media having found their own parity between between the evocative and the insistently imaginative.
